Richard (Rick) Peters grew up in the Northwest suburbs, played football and basketball, his first real passion throughout high school, before graduating from Hersey High in 1978. Right out of high school he discovered another passion in building, so at 19, he purchased his first lot and built his first spec home; this gave Rick the vision for building and the foresight and interest in residential construction.

By 1989 Rick established Wellington Homes Inc., became the General Contractor and incorporated in 1993. This was the beginning of his highly respectable career in building upscale custom homes, remodels & renovations throughout the North Shore and Northwest suburbs, including Malibu, CA. Rick’s dedication to his work and clients stems from his ability to appreciate his life and all that encompass it, including his interests in downhill skiing and the fascinating study of space. Rick has learned the importance of balance in his life, from cultivating his business, his interests, friendships and family.
